Metrex Disinfectant Update 5.13.2020

With testing protocols for disinfectant efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 recently approved and validated by the EPA and 3rd party testing labs, Metrex will be among the first to be testing our disinfectant product lines for efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 for submission to the EPA for approval.

This includes the following products:

  • CaviWipes
  • CaviWipes1
  • CaviWipes Bleach
  • CaviCide
  • CaviCide1

Until testing can be completed and reviewed by the EPA, please continue to follow the CDC’s guidelines for environmental disinfection in dental facilities; use an EPA-registered, hospital grade disinfectant. All products in Table 1 meet these requirements. The CDC also refers to the EPA’s List N for disinfectants that have either an emerging viral pathogen claim or a label claim against human coronavirus. CaviWipes1, CaviWipes Bleach, CaviCide, and CaviCide1 are on the EPA’s list N. Kerr Total Care is currently working to update CaviWipes to be on the EPA’s List N.

We care deeply about protecting people, from the general public to those most vulnerable. We are continuing to work diligently to do everything we can to assist you through this unprecedented time.
